Atlanta

Well Atlanta won the most recent version of the Hawks vs. Dwayne Wade.  It seems that this series is completely in the hands of the Hawks.  Dwayne Wade is going to do his thing every game, and the absolutely unpredictable Hawks will either do their thing or not.  When they do they win (it is 5 on 1 after all) when they don't they lose.  So can Atlanta really do the right stuff enough to win a series.  Really?  The Hawks out of the first round, that is a true bit of Irony right there.  Speaking of irony, now that T-mac is on the bench the Rockets are into the second round.  yeah just thought I'd rub it in.

Lakers vs. Jazz

Kobe Bryant said that the chants of the crowd relaxed him and his team.  Did you notice those 3 silky smooth 3 pointers after the Jazz crowd went berzerk because the Jazz had grown a seven point lead?  Fortunately it didn't matter much, but that call at the end of half-time with a blocking foul on Luke Walton that allowed the Jazz an extra three points before the half, was crazy.  I wish Luke Walton had been moving on that play, maybe the Lakers wouldn't have given up such a lazy turnover, but no, in the replay he clearly was standing perfectly still as Deron Williams mowed right into him.

New Orleans

Wow, it's amazing how much we can overreact to a team simply taking care of business at home.  Denver wins its first two games at homes and is the new dark horse to win it all.  Don't underestimate New Orleans.  Well more accurately I guess I should say don't underestimate Chris Paul.  He is one of 4 guys who can win a game by themselves in the league right now.  He is just that sick.  I am begginning to hear that this is the age of the point guard, well in the age of the point guard Chris Paul is the best of the point guards.  His team is clearly overmatched by Denver but Paul may just be able to win the series by himself.

Hey Nathan

So if anyone else wants to get in on the conversation please do, but mostly this was set up as a way for me and my brother Nathan to keep in contact about basketball even though we don't live together anymore.

My Thoughts on the first game

Derrick Rose coming out party.  Well Derrick Rose justified the hype today with his coming out party, and  he managed a W for Chicago.
